Yankee Leisure Group, the owners of Amtrak Vacations, has opened its first Australian office in Sydney where it plans to assist consultants with growing demand for customised travel travel through North America.

The Sydney-based office will be the go-to place for all Amtrak Vacations knowledge, as well as information on Yankee Leisure Group’s others brands, including Yankee Holidays, Railbookers, VIA Rail Vacations by Railbookers and Eurostar Vacations by Railbookers.

President Frank Marini said today’s travellers are looking for “immersive travel experiences”, even when it comes to their rail travel. As a result, “one size no longer fits all” and Amtrak can help consultants provide that individualised experience.

“We are excited about our new office in Sydney and the opportunity to assist Australian Travel Agents and travellers with booking the train holiday of a lifetime to the USA and Canada.”

The offer is valid for bookings to 31 October 2018.

Travellers can visit up to 500 destinations in 46 states and choose from 70 customisable itineraries featuring iconic train routes in the USA such as the Empire Builder, California Zephyr, and the Southwest Chief; or VIA Rail’s ‘The Canadian’ and ‘The Ocean’ in Canada.
