Qatar Airways and Virgin Australia have launched a strategic partnership that will unlock markets across Australia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa and expand the networks, lounges and loyalty programs with massive benefits to international travellers.
The alliance allows seamless travel from 12 September 2022 to more than 150 countries across Qatar Airways and Virgin Australia networks, including popular European destinations such as London, Paris, Rome and Athens.
Qatar Airways Privilege Club members can earn Avios and QPoints on flights operated by Virgin Australia and Virgin Australia’s Velocity Frequent Flyer members can now earn Velocity Points and Status Credits for flights operated by Qatar Airways.
Reward seats are also now available to book on eligible services operated by both airlines.
Eligible Privilege Club and Velocity Frequent Flyer members can access lounges and additional tier benefits, such as priority check-in and priority boarding, when flying with either carrier.
The airline partnership will also launch a new corporate and SME travel offering soon.

Launch offers
To launch the partnership, Privilege Club members travelling on Virgin Australia will enjoy double Avios on any VA flight until 5 December 2022.
Velocity members travelling on Qatar Airways can access discounted fares for any booking made on Qatar’s website between 7 September and 12 October 2022 for select travel until 31 March 2023 plus enter an exclusive draw to become a Velocity Points millionaire by flying Qatar Airways before 31 December 2022.
