1. Economy flying gets tighter with new ‘cramped’ class

If you like a little bit of personal space between you and the passenger next to you then you might want to avoid flying cattle class on future new build A380s.

Airbus has revealed plans to add an extra seat to each row on the jumbojet model, squeezing even more passengers on the aircraft.

According to the Daily Mail, from 2017 there will be 11 seats incorporated into the same space that currently fits 10.

3. Hello cuteness! Koalas fly to Singapore

Qantas is helping Singapore celebrate its 50th anniversary of independence this week, by sending four koalas to a new life in the country.

Originally from a Brisbane zoo, the four cuddly bears were sent to Singapore Zoo yesterday as a gift to commemorate the country’s separation from Malaysia.

The Australian airline shared pictures of the adorable marsupials enjoying Qantas customer service and being treated to fresh gum leaves.

However, the luxury was short lived, the koalas were eventually transferred to plane’s cargo for the trip to Singapore.

 

4. 87-year-old acts up on Air Canada flight

A pensioner is said to have caused disturbance on a recent Air Canada flight and forced the airline to divert the plane.

The 87-year-old was flying in First Class from Germany to Toronto, when she was allegedly restrained by cabin crew until the plane made an unplanned landing in Ireland, The Daily Mail reported.

According to the website, flight crew alerted pilot to the situation, who requested the landing to the Irish Aviation Authority.

The plane then landed at Shannon where she was taken into custody.

Details of her actions onboard have yet to be revealed, but according to the news site she was released without charge.
