Remembrance Day ceremonies have been held across the globe to commemorate those who served and died in the line of duty.
The world made many a sacrifice in World War I and every November 11, nations involved renew their vow to never forget the those who perished protecting their freedoms.
At 11am Australians observed a one minute silence in memory of those who died or suffered in all wars and armed conflicts.
