Rocky Mountaineer’s US operations are getting a fresh identity, with all American routes now operating under the new brand, Canyon Spirit.

Rocky Mountaineer’s US operations are getting a fresh identity, with all American routes now operating under the new brand, Canyon Spirit.

While Canyon Spirit takes over US operations, Rocky Mountaineer will continue to operate its iconic Canadian routes. The overarching company behind both brands is now known as Armstrong Collective.

The announcement marks a new chapter for the luxury train experience, which has been showcasing the stunning landscapes of the US Southwest since 2021.

In addition to the rebrand, Canyon Spirit is set to expand its popular Rockies to the Red Rocks route to include Salt Lake City, Utah, in 2026.

The updated itinerary will extend the journey into a three-day adventure, connecting Denver, Colorado, to Salt Lake City, with overnight stops in Glenwood Springs and Moab, Utah.

During the journey, guests can expect Canyon Spirit’s signature premium service, including locally inspired dining, immersive storytelling and panoramic views of red rock canyons, mountain passes and the Colorado River.

The new three-day journey launches on 21 April 2026, with weekly departures in both directions. Prices start at US$2,123 per person, including hotel stays in Glenwood Springs and Moab.

“We could not be more excited to bring our Canyon Spirit train to Salt Lake City, and to expand our Rockies to the Red Rocks route further into the beautiful state of Utah,” Armstrong Collective CEO Tristan Armstrong said.

“Although the name of our US train is changing, our world-class service and onboard experience will remain the same.

“Our family and team members all look forward to sharing the beauty of the American Southwest with even more guests from across the United States and around the world.”

In late 2024, Rocky Mountaineer launched a new Agent Portal for user-friendly benefits and features, including easier package search, centralised bookings and resources to help advisors promote, plan and sell luxury rail experiences in Canada and the US.
