It was described by National Geographic as a ‘journey of a lifetime’, and that journey is about to be even more memorable. The Nile’s most exclusive ship – Sanctuary Nile Adventuer – is getting a makeover.
Sanctuary Retreats recently pulled its 5-star Egypt-based ship, Sanctuary Nile Adventurer, out of service so it can undergo dramatic changes.
But don’t worry. Although she’ll be quite different, she’ll still be as fantastic as ever.

WHAT’S CHANGING ON BOARD THE SHIP?

The ship will retain a contemporary style while blending in elements of Egypt’s 7,000-year history. This will be seen through crafted Caravanserai lamps, hints of gold and bronze throughout the ship and more.
Refurbished cabins will be a “haven of sophistication”, according to the brand, through distinctive touches from carefully selected rugs, tiles and amenities.
A standout in each room will be the new feature walls and headboards, which “add a touch of glamour”.
Room types include the Standard and Deluxe cabins as well as Junior Suites with private dining spaces.
New to the President Suite will be large windows offering cinematic views of the Nile, private balconies, and king-size four-poster beds.
WHAT TYPE OF DINING WILL IT HAVE?
Sanctuary Nile Adventurer‘s restaurant will undergo a complete transformation to feature a central display where cuisine by award-winning chefs will be on show.
When they’re not eating, guests will be able to participate in Egyptian cooking lessons, which hopefully, they’ll be able to recreate one they’re home.
WHERE CAN I FIND THE SHIP POST-MAKEOVER?
Following her makeover, Sanctuary Nile Adventuer will return to the Nile. She’ll sail on three, four and seven-night cruises.
From Aswan to Luxor, cruises include meals, mineral water, beverages during meals, sightseeing, and more.
