The Seasons of Norway
Each season presents the Norwegian coastline in a different light.
During the Norwegian Summer months, guests can marvel at the Midnight Sun phenomena experiencing 24 hours of daylight above the Arctic Circle.
Autumn from September to November brings out the autumnal colours of Norway with the start of the Northern Lights Season in October.
The Winter months of December to February is the outright best time to see the Northern Lights. Spring lasts from March to May and gives you three seasons in one journey.
Enjoy summer-like weather in Bergen, spring along the way, and full winter above the Arctic Circle.
Norway’s Coastal Kitchen
Every journey is made more memorable by sampling local food and beverage and the Norway’s Coastal Kitchen concept is all about experiencing authentic local cuisine.
Hurtigruten’s chefs use fresh ingredients sourced from suppliers all along the coast, giving guests a true taste of Norway.
With more than 70 optional excursions available, guests can tailor their journey to their interest, both at sea, on land and throughout the seasons of Norway.
