Slow down and pour a vino on Globus' regional NSW Wineries & Countryside tour

Globus has announced a new domestic tour, NSW Wineries & Countryside for 2022, adding to GFOB’s Australia and New Zealand 2022 touring programme launched earlier this year, designed for local travellers.

Globus has announced a new domestic tour, NSW Wineries & Countryside for 2022, adding to GFOB’s Australia and New Zealand 2022 touring programme launched earlier this year, designed for local travellers.

Available to book now, Globus says its ‘NSW Wineries & Countryside’ tour will go beyond the icons of sparkling Sydney and slow down on an eight-day journey to discover the beauty, history and hidden gems of regional NSW.

Rich with authentic countryside experiences, exquisite wine country, prominent historical sights and quaint small-town charm, the company says travellers will uncover that there’s much more to NSW than meets the eye.

“Our NSW Wineries & Countryside itinerary is the perfect addition to our 2022 domestic touring programme,” said Gai Tyrrell, managing director Australasia of Globus family of brands.

“Australians have recognised the benefits of touring in their own backyard, with the announcement of our 2022 programme bringing in our biggest day of sales since March 2020.

“We are delighted to showcase the spectacular scenery, incredible food and wine and local stories of NSW at a time when domestic travel has never been in higher demand.”

Highlights of the tour include the ever-popular Hunter Valley, the oldest wine region of Australia, where guests can enjoy a countryside escape whilst tasting fine local produce paired with famed wines from the region.

The foodie experiences continue with cheese tastings at Hunter Belle in Muswellbrook; browsing Mudgee Fine Foods Farmers’ Market; and tastings at a cider brewery in Orange.

The tour also offers exceptional inclusions such as a visit to the Royal Flying Doctor Service in Dubbo and guests can shoot for the stars at the CSIRO Parkes Radio Telescope Visitor’s Centre, famous for its pivotal role in the moon landing.

An outstanding finale, Globus says its guests will be treated to a dinner cruise sailing through stunning Sydney Harbour.

To celebrate the launch of the new tour, Globus is offering a 7.5% discount valid on bookings until 31 December, with prices starting from $4,089 for the eight-day Sydney roundtrip.

An upgrade option to stay at Dubbo Zoo and wake up in the wild is also available, from $4,568.

The first departure will take place on 13 April 2022.

To help quell concerns travellers may have for returning to travel, Globus and Cosmos have extended their comprehensive Peace of Mind Travel Plan through 2022 and developed On-Trip Assurances to help protect the health and safety of guests.
