STRENGTH TO STRENGTH: Internal Promotions At Intrepid Support Growth

Intrepid Travel has just announced two internal promotions which will allow the company to manage its "record growth" (16% global growth year-to-date).

Intrepid Travel has just announced two internal promotions which will allow the company to manage its “record growth” (16% global growth year-to-date).

Brett Mitchell, currently Managing Director for APAC, has now been promoted to Chief Commercial Officer and will report to CEO James Thornton.

Sarah Clark, currently General Manager of Marketing for APAC will replace Mitchell’s role as Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand.

Intrepid Travel CEO James Thornton commented that “with only a few months left of this year, these roles solidify our 2020 strategy”.

“As we grow with purpose, 2019 is on track to mark our fourth year of record growth.”

Intrepid is now in the process of planning its 2025 strategy, and James Thronton said these two fresh roles will be vital to delivering the company’s “ambitious goals”.

In Brett Mitchell’s new role as Chief Commercial Officer,  he will have a global remit to oversee sales, marketing and revenue management for Intrepid’s three regions of EMEA, APAC and the Americas.

Sarah Clark, on the other hand, has been Intrpied’s General Manager of Marketing APAC for almost two years.

Prior to that, she was at Topdeck and STA, most recently as Global General Manager for Topdeck, based in London.

The role of General Manager Marketing will be recruited for in the coming weeks.
