Shortly after roomsXML and getabed merged, the accommodation companies announced the launch of whole new brand: Stuba. From Monday all things roomsXML.com will become stuba.com. Here’s what you need to know.

Managing Director of Stuba Pacific Mark Luckey said the last couple of months had been heads down across all facets of the business getting ready for the official launch.

“There’s a phenomenal amount of work to combine two proud companies into one but we are starting to see the results.”

Managing Director of Stuba Pacific Mark Luckey

A key driver of the merger between getabed and roomsXML was the potential for economies of scale across operations, service and contracting.

It’s across pricing that Stuba is making it’s first major announcements.

“The renegotiation of contracts and pricing is a key deliverable. Our ability to approach our suppliers with a combined sales records and strong financial position saw the first of the improved contracts go live on July 1st,” he said.

Being bigger means they have more buying power and Mark said Travel Agents will notice that in their rates.

The soft launch of the newly negotiated contracts from July 1 onwards has already resulted in improved booking to search ratios.

“Agents will be amazed when they see the improvements across some already very competitive locations. The pricing will only get better in the months to come as we continue to load new contracts and suppliers,” Mark said.

For existing roomsXML customers is simply business as usual.

-www.roomsxml.com will automatically redirect to www.stuba.com from Monday the 16th July.

-Existing logins will not change.

-Existing bookings will migrate to the new platform
