In first class, passengers can change into their Lufthansa pyjamas in their suites, and will be able to dine with other guests at a large dining table.

According to the airline, economy flyers will experience “significantly more choice” including the option of booking first row seats that will boast greater seat pitch and the next generation of its Sleeper’s Row, which was introduced in economy on long-haul flights in August 2021.

Sleeper’s Row 2.0 will feature a fold-up leg rest and mattress that extends 40 per cent beyond the original offering. Additionally, economy passengers will be able to book a vacant, adjacent seat.

The new ‘Allegris’ service will be rolled out on more than 100 new aircraft, while already existing planes will be converted to accommodate the enhancements.

The upgrades form part of the largest fleet modernisation in the group’s history, with over 180 new short and long-haul jets to be delivered to the airline by 2030.

According to Lufthansa, the carrier will invest 2.5 billion euros in product and service upgrades by 2025, along with replacing more than 30,000 seats across its fleet.
