Abu Dhabi’s tourism leaders are having a stellar year in Australia where their beloved Middle Eastern destination has won awards, featured in top travel programs & won the hearts of Agents.
There’s practically a new celebration every other week at the Sydney office for The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) where the wins keep coming through.
First, the city was named ‘Destination of the Year’ for its culture, history and unique offerings, including the world’s first indoor Warner Bros. theme park. This was followed by Abu Dhabi’s feature on the popular Australian TV show ‘Better Homes and Gardens’, which ran over two episodes.
And more recently, 300 Australian Travel Agents discovered a passion for the UAE capital during three successful Luxury Roadshows in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. They met with representatives from Jumeirah Hotels and Resorts, Etihad, Hala Experiences and more while learning about the latest developments.
DCT Abu Dhabi’s Executive Director of Marketing and Communication Sector, Digital Marketing Department, believes all these incredible achievements have enhanced the destination and contributed to a 13.63 percent increase in average length stays in 2019.
