No this isn’t a typo. It’s actually real.

And to make it even more unbelievably Spanish nuts, the deal actually applies to full-service airlines too including Airlines such as Qantas, Emirates, Virgin Australia and Cathay Pacific.

How on earth is this even possible we hear you say?

Firstly, the $199 Madrid deal is available today only on Saturday, November 16 on AirAsia.com, which is now powered by Kiwi.com.

AirAsia says there are hundreds of the $199 fares available but don’t worry if you miss out – because a second phase of the promo all-in return fare of $399 will also be available.

There’s also a ton of other sale fares on offer on AirAsia’s new site with the ability to book more than 100 airlines to destinations currently not served by AirAsia, including Europe, Australia, New Zealand, the Middle East and the Americas.

Fares such as… Bali on the 21st November for US$172 or Singapore on the 19th November for US$152

Still not sure how they can do this?

The deals represent a very clever move by the low-cost carrier and disruptor AirAsia to now selling other airlines on its own site as an OTA (Online Travel Agency) which of course will make their fares look even cheaper when you are comparing prices.

Plus they’ll make money from the bookings they receive on other airlines too. Very smart.

You’ll also be able to book your hotel stays, experiences and activities for a fraction of the price.

As AirAsia CEO Tony Fernandes says “it’s the ultimate one-stop-shop”.

“Today, with the help of Kiwi.com, we are reinventing ourselves as more than just an airline, bringing to life our vision for airasia.com to be the region’s one-stop travel shop,”

“When we started AirAsia as a low-cost airline back in 2001, I never thought one day we would be selling our competitors. But if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s never say never. Never say never and believe the unbelievable.”
