With new tours, destinations and activities added, Intrepid Travel has more than 80 debut experiences for adventurers to explore the world responsibly, including extra countries, more wildlife encounters and new ways to see favourite locations.

Intrepid’s new and improved trips for 2023 add to existing itineraries and reflect the company’s purpose: to create the best travel experiences ever – for people and the planet.

In 2023, Intrepid Travel aims to provide more meaningful ways to forge connections while making a positive impact on the places visited, including more ethical wildlife adventures and increased activities supporting First Nations communities and female-run businesses.

Highlights include the addition of Pakistan to the Intrepid portfolio with the new 15-day Pakistan Expedition trip and a brand-new Rwanda Gorilla Naming Ceremony & Uganda tour.

There is also a five-day First Nations-led Vanuatu Expedition: Land Diving Festival tour as well as the addition of a trip to the Térraba First Nations community, a matriarchal group, as part of the Best of Costa Rica trip.

Travellers can also trek the rarely visited Great Inca Road as an alternative to the Inca Trail with B Corp SA Expeditions and now enjoy a visit to the Middle East’s first female brewer on its popular Israel & Palestine Real Food Adventure.

Intrepid Travel Managing Director of Australia and New Zealand Brett Mitchell said: “After another successful year, we are excited to include 80 new Intrepid experiences to our 2023 itinerary.”

“These adventures will immerse Australians in the natural beauty and hidden stories of some of our most unique tours to date.”

Intrepid also reintroduced its ANZAC Day Dawn Service trip this year after a pandemic-induced hiatus of three years.
