Luxury tour operator Tauck will expand its partnership with Rocky Mountaineer for two new North American journeys that feature a scenic two-day rail segment to now deliver three rail-and-road touring options from May 2024.

The move tracks with the established provider’s predictions that people are looking for “intimate, personalised and exclusive access to destinations and attractions” and a resurgence of interest in North America, according to Tauck Managing Director Australia David Clark.

“Tauck’s itinerary to America’s Canyonlands has been one of the strongest selling Tauck tours in Australia in the past and we are seeing this popularity come back in 2023 and 2024.”

The two new Tauck itineraries are the eight-day Salt Lake City to Denver by Rocky Mountaineer from AUD$12,932pp, which includes Canyonlands, and 10-day The Best of Western Canada & Rocky Mountaineer from AUD$15,940pp.

The Salt Lake City to Denver by Rocky Mountaineer itinerary visits Arches National Park, Denver, Canyonlands, Moab and Glenwood Springs.

While The Best of Western Canada & Rocky Mountaineer land journey features a two-day rail trip from Lake Louise to Vancouver, taking in Calgary, Whistler, Banff National Park and Icefields Parkway.

Along with the train journey, the itinerary is notable for featuring accommodations in four Fairmont properties, including the iconic Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.
