Fancy a wine tasting experience that’s a little bit extra? Garden City Helicopters has launched a rather unique Heli Winery Tour to the Waipara Valley.

Wine, check. Helicopter, check. Spectacular views over North Canterbury, check. Oversized sunnies, check.

Say ‘Kia Ora’ to the ‘Between the Vines’.

Taking off from Christchurch, you can leave the car behind and fly into five wineries, all with different personalities and unique wines in the beautiful North Canterbury Waipara Valley wine region right on the doorstep of Christchurch City.

Heli Wine Tour

The Group Marketing Manager for the GCH Aviation Group says ‘Between the Vines’ is a new helicopter experience offered by Garden City Helicopters.

While the tour was originally targeted at Christchurch locals looking for a new experience on their doorstep, it will now add a new dimension to a Christchurch ‘stay and play’ experience for Australian visitors taking advantage of the Trans-Tasman bubble.

The trip is also great for those looking to enjoy the ski season at Mt Hutt as the trip leaves from the end of the runway at Christchurch airport.

“We want to create something that is not currently being offered in this format, showcasing different wineries that offer their stories along with their wines and something that will get people experiencing five boutique wineries during late morning or afternoon without having to drive”
