The Group Marketing Manager for the GCH Aviation Group says ‘Between the Vines’ is a new helicopter experience offered by Garden City Helicopters.
While the tour was originally targeted at Christchurch locals looking for a new experience on their doorstep, it will now add a new dimension to a Christchurch ‘stay and play’ experience for Australian visitors taking advantage of the Trans-Tasman bubble.
The trip is also great for those looking to enjoy the ski season at Mt Hutt as the trip leaves from the end of the runway at Christchurch airport.
“We want to create something that is not currently being offered in this format, showcasing different wineries that offer their stories along with their wines and something that will get people experiencing five boutique wineries during late morning or afternoon without having to drive”

Guests are advised to allow three hours for the experience, making it a perfect midday – afternoon trip.
Wine tastings are included with the experience and guests can have the additional option of more time for a lunch at one of the wineries – with just the added expense of lunch.
This is a bespoke trip, which can run with a minimum of 2pax.
The price is $750pp NZD and guess what, travel agents? It is also a commissionable product!
