Explore Worldwide Regional Director ANZ Ben Ittensohn said Australian travellers increasingly seek more immersive, slow travel experiences and an active escape from overcrowded tourism hotspots.

“Today’s travellers don’t just want to see a destination – they want to feel it, move through it and engage with its people, food and landscapes,” he said.
“One of my all-time favourite holidays was an eight-day walking trip of Turkey’s Lycian Way. The sense of achievement at the end of each day, combined with the camaraderie of a small group hiking along Turkey’s beautiful coastline, made it truly unforgettable.”
Explore Worldwide Customer Service Consultant Kyran Rose is an avid active traveller who believes the best way to connect with a destination is through nature.

“Walking the Amalfi Coast with Explore last year was an incredible experience – the beautiful coastal views and iconic trails made every step worthwhile,” she said.
“Now, I can’t wait to swap my hiking boots for a bike and explore Croatia’s stunning Dalmatian Coast in a few months. I love that Explore offers the option of an e-bike, making cycling trips accessible to all kinds of travellers.”
