Crazy new ‘Adventure touring’ options are no doubt just around the corner again with this Aquatic human sized drone ‘Octocopter’ by Kitty Hawk.
Recently we ran a story on the worlds first passenger drone in Dubai that could carry a person and their suitcase.
And we thought that was nuts.
Which of course it totally is.
But this bad boy, called the Kitty Hawk Flyer and created by Google co-founder Larry Page is a human-sized drone capable of operating only on water and seems equally crazy when you watch the rather cheesy video.
Kitty Hawk says it takes only minutes to learn how to control the all-electric aircraft Flyer and you don’t need a pilot’s license either.
“Our mission is to make the dream of personal flight a reality. We believe when everyone has access to personal flight, a new, limitless world of opportunity will open up to them. At Kitty Hawk, we engineer, design and build safe, fun, easy-to-fly aircraft.”

Prices for the new aircraft haven’t been revealed yet, but Kitty Hawk has invited interested parties to purchase a $100 membership for three years. In addition to invites to exclusive events the membership also knocks US$2,000 off the retail price of the Flyer.
According to the Kitty Hawk website, the Flyer will be available at the end of this year.
