The Australian Travel Industry Association (ATIA) has revealed the 2025 National Travel Industry Awards (NTIA) Master of Ceremonies will be Shelly Horton, supported by Virgin Australia.
Horton, a television presenter, author and women’s health advocate, is expected to bring plenty of sparkle to the travel industry’s biggest annual celebration, which will take place on 18 October at The Star Brisbane.
A familiar face on Nine’s Today, Today Extra, 3pm News and Weekend Today, Horton also co-hosts 9Honey’s Sticky Situations and appears on Nine’s 20-1.
Darren McDermott, General Manager of Sales at Virgin Australia, said Horton “will help make this a night to remember”.

“Virgin Australia is thrilled to be supporting the 2025 NTIAs and to have Shelly Horton as MC for the industry’s biggest celebration,” he remarked.
“Shelly’s energy, humour and connection with audiences are a perfect match for an evening that celebrates the very best of travel.”
Meanwhile, the entertainment for the gala, sponsored by Helloworld Travel Limited, will stay under wraps until the big night.
“We are proud to be the entertainment Gold Sponsor at NTIA 2025. The Awards are the highlight of the travel industry calendar, and we’re excited to contribute to an unforgettable evening,” Helloworld Travel Executive Director Cinzia Burnes said.
“While the line-up remains a surprise until the night, guests can be assured it will match the prestige and celebration of this special event.”

The NTIAs are regarded as the leading awards in Australian travel, recognising excellence across the sector. They will follow ATIA’s Beyond Borders leadership forum, held at the same venue on 17 October.
“NTIA is the biggest night of the year for the travel industry, and having Shelly as MC will make it even more special. Her energy and humour will keep the crowd engaged and entertained all night long,” ATIA CEO Dean Long said.
“The entertainment that is brought to you by Helloworld Travel will be high energy to bring the industry to our feet.”
