Daydreaming of being completely immersed in natural beauty, in one of the most picturesque destinations in the world? Tahiti Tourisme is inviting travellers to reconnect with their loved ones in The Islands of Tahiti.

Are you dreaming of rediscovering yourself and reconnecting with loved ones and nature in the most dreamy destination in all the land?

Although our borders may not be open just yet, we keep our fingers crossed for the South Pacific Bubble and can swoon over this destination inspo, ready to plan our next adventure ASAP.

Tahiti Tourisme’s latest campaign “Reconnect With The World in The Islands of Tahiti” is inviting you to go back to essential values, nature, loved ones and to discover other cultures, in an unrivalled destination.

Coinciding with the announcement of its international borders reopening and its COVID-19-free status, the campaign aims to inspire Australian travellers through showcasing the beauty, remoteness, and “Mana” that The Islands of Tahiti is famous for.

For those who are yet to discover what “Mana” is, it’s a spiritual energy and healing power that can exist in places, objects, and people. If you’re a Star Wars fan, think of it as the force! And the “Mana” is strong in Tahiti.

From images of ancient traditions to crystal clear waters, the campaign highlights the very best of The Islands of Tahiti – least of which is the seclusion and safety of the destination.

The Islands of Tahiti is one place where the world still feels right due to the natural, untouched, inspiring beauty of the land, ocean and people through which Mana flows,” says Caroline Brunel, Account Director of Tahiti Tourisme for Australia and New Zealand.

“This all combines to make visitors feel safe, treasured and connected to the world again.”

“This is precisely what the Reconnect campaign demonstrates, and what we hope inspires Australian travellers to visit our islands once they are able to.”

The digital campaign will roll out in stages, with the first awareness phase designed to encourage travellers to start dreaming of The Islands of Tahiti. A second tactical phase will encourage visitors to book a holiday – something so many of us feel in need of after the effects of COVID-19.

Travel to The Islands of Tahiti is becoming an increasingly real prospect for many around the globe, with the recent announcement that international borders will reopen July 15th, after two months of closure. Specific and detailed entry measures and health protocols will apply to all visitors.

“COVID-19 has disrupted our lives, changing everything we thought we could rely on and leaving us physically and emotionally disconnected from nature, each other, and our own sense of place in the world,” says Jean Marc Mocellin, CEO of Tahiti Tourisme.

“Our insights show that people are looking for more than a holiday, they want to feel certain about the world again. The Islands of Tahiti is well placed to deliver on that promise.”
