When airline rivalry gets a little too nasty. A senior manager of European airline LOT Polish Airlines was sacked after publicly fat shaming & criticising a rival carrier’s cabin crew on social media.

The Cabin Crew Operations Director at LOT Polish Airlines was removed from her role for calling British Airways air staff “fat” with “rotten and uneven teeth”.

Her critique of the rival airline’s staff continued to cover the “messy hairstyle”, “double chin”, “holes in tights” and “unpolished shoes”. If that wasn’t enough, she also noted the staff uniform that was “too tight”.

“Today, my attention was drawn to grooming and appearance of British Airways cabin crew members, unpolished shoes, holes in tights, too tight uniform, double chin, rotten and uneven teeth, messy hairstyle.”

According to reports, the airline executive made her opinions of British Airways’ crew public on Facebook and even went as far as to accuse them of slacking off with their duties, News.com.au reported.

Offended and angered British Airways employees responded to the airline executive’s post, saying that she had no right to invite the public to access a person’s image let alone take images of crew and share them without their permission.

The Sun contacted LOT Polish Airlines last week regarding the employee’s comments and learned that she had been fired shortly after they were made.

“We are truly sorry for this situation. Such behaviour is unacceptable and will not be tolerated by our company.”

The former Cabin Crew Operations Director has since apologised for the comments, saying she regrets her behaviour.

” I should not judge the competence and appearance of employees of another airline. I’m sorry again.”
