1. There are 8 exciting French itineraries in 2017

Several major waterways wind their way through France (such as the Seine and Rhone), making the country an excellent destination for a cruise holiday. In 2017, Uniworld will be running eight all-inclusive itineraries based on different themes all throughout the country, visiting key cities and regions such as Paris, Lyon, Bordeaux, Normandy and Avignon.

These itineraries run from just over a week to 22 days, giving guests the option of how much time they’d like to spend sailing in absolute comfort and style onboard Uniworld’s world-class ships.

 

2. There’s a new Super Ship: the S.S. Joie de Vivre

Uniworld’s newest ship, the S.S. Joie de Vivre, will be sailing on the Seine in 2017 on the 8-day Paris & Normandy itinerary, which takes in medieval towns, gorgeous countryside, beautiful beaches and the option to visit either Versailles – the former home of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette – or Château de Malmaison, the former residence of Napoleon’s first empress, Josephine.

The S.S. Joie de Vivre has been designed to the reflect the French “joy of living” philosophy and their profound appreciation for food, wine, art and music. This new state-of-the-art ship will feature French inspired handcrafted furniture with rich fabrics, antiques, art, gilded and wrought-iron accents will blend in perfect harmony with modern-day conveniences.

 

3. And a new itinerary: Paris & Impressions of the Seine

Sailing into 2017 is the new ‘Paris & Impressions of the Seine‘ cruise, a 10-day itinerary from Paris to Paris that takes guests along the Seine and through quaint towns (including Le Havre, the birthplace of Impressionism) to discover for themselves how the historic waterway inspired so many great artists.

Visits to the town of Auvers-sur-Oise, which is where Van Gogh lived out his final months, and Rouen, which is the where the Gothic cathedral immortalised by Monet is located, are included in the itinerary, as is a stroll around Montmartre in Paris – once the home of Matisse and Picasso.

 

4. You can now golf on your cruise

Play a few rounds of golf in some of the most spectacular golf courses in the world whilst cruising through Normandy with Uniworld on the 8-day Paris & Normandy itinerary.
