American Express has reopened The Centurion Lounge at San Francisco International Airport (SFO), which is now double in size with increased seating and extended premium offerings for eligible AMEX cardholders to enjoy.

The 1,486m2 space includes an additional bar with specialty wine flights curated by Centurion Lounge Wine Director Anthony Giglio. There’s also a new menu from San Francisco’s Liholiho Yacht Club Executive Chef Ravi Kapur.

The wine flights, selected by sommelier Anthony Giglio, will highlight four regional drops and complements the existing wine wall where guests can sample wines from across California.

San Francisco is known for its world-class wine and the lounge will showcase California grapes, starting with a Sonoma Chardonnay and a Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon flight.

James Beard Award-nominated chef Ravi Kapur’s menu will feature dishes such as Kochujang chicken thighs, wild rice and coconut soup.

Located in Terminal 3, the Centurion Lounge at SFO will include two wine bars and cafe areas, additional restrooms, private phone rooms and workspaces and more.

AMEX has announced plans to open new lounge locations at Reagan National Airport (DCA) in Washington, D.C. and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Airport (ATL) in 2023 and 2024 respectively.

United Airlines has upped its direct SYD–SFO service to 10 weekly flights for additional seasonal flights until 8 February 2023.
