Football fans can follow ‘Golden Balls’ aka David Beckham on an action-packed 48-hour stopover in Qatar as part of a brand-new campaign to highlight the diverse activities available in the FIFA World Cup 2022 host nation ahead of the November tournament.

From exploring the winding spice markets of Souq Waqif and checking out local street art to cooking tacos, camping in the desert and sightseeing around Doha by motorbike, the popular personality travels with locals to discover a country of countless surprises.  

David Beckham said: “Qatar has surprised me with a wide range of great experiences you can have in just 48 hours. The people are warm and welcoming and it is a great place to spend a few days.”

Through this new marketing campaign, Qatar Tourism aims to raise awareness of its stopover packages with Qatar Airways with packages from AUD$20pp, per night for a 4-star hotel, and $29pp for a 5-star stay.
