From Vancouver to the Rocky Mountains, you’ll find 13 destination ski resorts in British Columbia with wide-open runs, deep snow and resorts such as ski-in, ski-out villages Whistler Blackcomb, Sun Peaks, Silver Star Mountain Resort and Big White Ski Resort. 

Whistler’s Fitzsimmons Express has just opened with the eight-person high-speed chair replacing the four-person chairlift and increasing uphill capacity by 73 per cent in winter.

New Whistler accommodation options include Wedge Mountain Lodge & Spa and AlpX Yurt – perfect for backcountry skiers.

Sun Peaks has introduced adaptive sports with lessons for all abilities while SilverStar has doubled its chair capacity with 21 new gondola cabins.

Finally, Big White Ski Resort celebrates 60 years in 2023 with the new Spa at Stonebridge Lodge opening this winter.

Alberta winter newness

Get among SkiBig3’s three-for-one option with direct lift access at all three resorts in Alberta: Banff Sunshine Village, Lake Louise Ski Resort and Mt. Norquay.

The Knob Quad Chairlift comes to Marmot Basin in Jasper National Park in December 2023, providing access to above-treeline bowls and chutes, including the newly opened MARMOT CIRQUE terrain.
