With today’s discerning travellers in mind, global tour operator Collette is changing up the pace and transportation options on its small-group Explorations tours. Why? To provide a more immersive in-destination experience.

Collette small-group tours now offer more time in destination and less travel time, allowing additional scope to discover a city or site.

City trips incorporate farm visits, sunset cruises and special themed tours, getting travellers off the coach and onto different modes of transport from trains to tuk-tuks.

Collette added two new US Explorations tours for 2024 to meet the demand for both the region and a more immersive travel experience.

Earlier in the year, Executive Vice President of Global Business Christian Leibl-Cote spoke about the benefits of guided tours at a slower pace.

“Everything is taken care of. And we’ve slowed down the pace significantly so that you’re not moving every day. You’re not going to multiple countries. We want you immersed in the destination,” he said.

Collette Head of Sales David Farrar said the updated Explorations tours have already elicited positive feedback from customers.

“Varying transportation is a great way to enhance our guests’ experience and customer feedback on this and spending more time in destination has been excellent,” he said.
