20,000 seats, 60 routes, 8 days: First-ever Qantas Travel Week Sale takes off

Qantas has debuted a new Red Tail sale, introducing the first-ever 'Travel Week' and promoting discounts on 20,000-plus seats across 60 international routes to popular global destinations such as Japan, US, Canada and New Zealand for eight days only.

Qantas has debuted a new Red Tail sale, introducing the first-ever ‘Travel Week’ and promoting discounts on 20,000-plus seats across 60 international routes to popular global destinations such as Japan, US, Canada and New Zealand for eight days only.

Until 4 December 2024, the Travel Week international sale has flights discounted from AUD$539 return from Australia to Christchurch along with fares to destinations such as Honolulu, LA and other cities across New Zealand.

These include flying International Economy return from Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane to Tokyo (Haneda & Narita) from AUD$1,149 and from Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane to LA from AUD$1,199.

Fly Melbourne to Queenstown in Economy return from AUD$549, Sydney to New York from AUD$1,699 or Sydney to Vancouver from AUD$1,499.

The offers are available for select travel dates from January to October 2025, including the October school holiday period.

The Travel Week sale includes cash fares and Classic Plus Flight Reward seats, allowing Frequent Flyers to use their Qantas Points to purchase sale fares and for upgrades.

Return Classic Plus fares include 53,500 points from Sydney to Tokyo (Haneda, Economy), 41,700 points from Brisbane to Auckland (Premium Economy) and 467, 100 points from Melbourne to Dallas (Business).

Qantas International CEO Cam Wallace said the airline has celebrated its first-ever Travel Week sale by discounting some of its most popular international destinations, such as Japan.

“We’re seeing more and more Australians travelling to Japan with Tokyo as one of our most in-demand destinations on the Qantas international network,” he said.

“We’re delighted to include Japan in our Travel Week sale, among other trending routes and travel spots such as Honolulu, Los Angeles and Queenstown.”
