Anyone who has been to Northern Rivers of New South Wales, knows that the area is abundant with talented chefs, artisans and producers.
To celebrate this brimming foodie scene, Sample Food Festival is coming to the delightful village of Bangalow in the Byron Bay Shire on Saturday, September 1.
Sample is now the largest gastronomic gathering in the Northern NSW calendar attracting more than 16,000 locals, travellers, guest chefs and food lovers.
This year, the Gold Coast Airport has been named as the Presenting Partner for the eighth annual festival.
Chief Operating Officer of the Gold Coast Airport, Marion Charlton said the airport was pleased to partner with the biggest one-day food festival in the Northern Rivers.
“We are excited to increase our sponsorship support in northern New South Wales, which is a key tourism growth area for the airport,” she said.
“Sample Food Festival has become a landmark event on the region’s calendar, and we are proud to be part of its continuing growth story.”

To help cleanse the palate over the day, award winning local brewery Stone & Wood will be on hand with their excellent range of beers.
Festival Director Rose Taylor has said having the Gold Coast Airport on board this year as the Presenting Partner, it really highlighted the growing interest in gastronomical travel and tourism for the region.
“Every year we have visitors travelling through Gold Coast Airport – the largest gateway to our region – to attend the festival from around Australia and overseas,” she said.
Sample Food Festival will take place from 8am until 4pm at Bangalow Showgrounds, entry is $5 per person and children are free.
