McDonald’s in Italy has just done something that’s set to rescue the world from feelings of doom and gloom after the election of Trump in the USA by putting a Nutella burger on the menu!

Yep, that’s right folks.

The country known for its amazing food, such as spaghetti, pizza and lasagne, and it’s delicious wine, will now be known all around the world for being the first McDonalds to introduce something very special on its menu…

Enter the Nutella burger, available at McCafes all across Italy.

Called the ‘Sweety con Nutella’ in Italian, this heaven in a bun food item is made with a thick wedge of the gooey hazelnut spread sandwiched between two regular McDonalds signature buns. It looks like a regular cheeseburger, but contains no meat, and comes packaged in a regular burger box.

Yum!

The new ‘burger’ was announced on its Facebook page on Thursday last week, saying that ‘a soft sweetness has arrived that you will not be able to resist. Try Sweety with Nutella now: soft bread with a creamy, indulgent center!’

And since the announcement, the initial post has received more than 90,000 shares, and over 75,000 likes, making it go viral throughout social media channels!

Unfortunately for us Aussies, the Nutella burger is only available at Italian McDonalds for the moment, which means you’ll need to book a ticket to Italy quick smart if you want to try it for yourself.

And we don’t know yet whether the Nutella burger will ever make its way down under.

But still, is this not another reason why you should travel to Italy this year, besides the country’s rich historical legacy, amazing art and the food – did we mention the food?!
