Canberra is turning whine time into wine time, introducing a brand-new, four-day truly National Wine Festival in June 2025 to celebrate Australian viticultural excellence and mark the 50th anniversary of the National Wine Show of Australia, including the prestigious awards.
The new National Wine Festival will feature three days of wine tastings, masterclasses, themed dinners and special events, kicking off with the 2025 National Wine Show of Australia trophy presentation in the Great Hall of Australian Parliament House on 12 June.
More than 900 award-winning wines, including every entrant in the 2025 National Wine Show, will be opened for tasting during the festival.

Tickets are now on sale here and vino fans can raise a glass or two at themed masterclasses led by viticultural experts and hosted at Hyatt Hotel Canberra.
Wine tourists are also encouraged to visit Canberra and the ACT’s world-class wineries while in the region.

Tourism & Trade Minister Don Farrell said the National Wine Festival is set to become a flagship event on the Australian tourism calendar.
“Australian wine is one of our greatest tourism and trade assets and I have no doubt that the festival will attract visitors from across the country and around the world,” he said.

National Wine Show of Australia Chair Andy Gregory said the festival would occupy a unique position in the tourism landscape, extending the National Wine Show of Australia to four days.
“It is the only true representation of every Australian winegrowing region – a one-stop shop to taste and learn about the very best of Australian wine,” he said.
