1.Luxury hotel + Diamonds

Last month saw Geneva’s Mandarin Oriental hotel and Swiss luxury jeweller Chopard partner on a unique vacation experience offering guests a bespoke diamond package.

Travellers booking the ‘Happy Suite Diamonds package’ will receive a private limousine pick-up from Geneva International Airport, luxurious accommodation at the Mandarine Oriental hotel, Champagne, and a two-hour behind-the-scenes tour of the Chopard atelier and museum.

The package rate is CHF 1,950 (AUD $2,120) per night, with a minimum two-night stay.

 

2. Stay in a floating house

In May 2015, Airbnb members could enter a competition for a night’s stay in a floating house as it made its way down the River Thames in London, UK.

The Airbnb branded bright blue house complete with two bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen, a living room and small garden (complete with a dog kennel and a wisteria) was designed to promote the company’s services in the UK.

 

3. UK’s first child hotel concierge

In May 2015, the Drayton Manor Hotel introduced its first ever child concierge – nine-year-old Noah Reeves-Walters from Kidderminster.

Noha was on hand to answer questions and assist younger guests with their visit to the theme park during the school holiday period.

The child concierge tackled any unusual questions children may have including where to get the best ice cream in the park and what to eat to stop feeling sick on rides.

Rooms rates at the hotel starts from around AUD $225 per night.

 

4. Get your swimmers and champers out

Summer is in full swing in London and the Brits are encouraged to dress up, sing, dance, drink, play and enjoy their favourite films – in a hot tub!

The first public Hot Tub Cinema screening took place back in 2012 and due to its popularity the event is now hosted in both the USA and Ibiza.
