Kā‘anapali Beach Hotel is "Hawaiʻi’s most Hawaiian Hotel" where you can immerse yourself in authentic cultural experiences both in and out of the water.

Kā‘anapali Beach Hotel is “Hawaiʻi’s most Hawaiian Hotel” where you can immerse yourself in authentic cultural experiences both in and out of the water.

It’s a place where guests arrive as strangers and leave as ‘ohana (family). Where traditional culture is shared and customs are celebrated. Where you can experience the real Hawaiian island aloha spirit.

Located on the idyllic island of Maui, Kā‘anapali Beach Hotel will take your clients on an immersive journey of Hawaiʻi with meaningful connections to local culture in every luxurious newly renovated guestroom.

With oceanfront views on an award-winning beach, traditional culture and Pacific Rim cuisine, the aloha spirit flows throughout the reimagined space to embody the Hawaiian meaning of hospitality, hoʻokipa.

Since 1986, Kā‘anapali Beach Hotel’s Poʻokela (excellence) program has opened up the world of Hawaiian culture to hotel staff, encompassing different elements of tradition, cuisine and language.

It’s recognised as “Hawaiʻi’s Most Hawaiian Hotel” by the Waiaha Foundation. And is the only hotel to receive the Hawaiʻi Tourism Authority’s He Kuleana Ke Aloha award, presented for its commitment and dedication to ensuring Hawaiian culture is perpetuated for future generations.

All classes are taught by artisans with many years of experience honing their craft and practice. It’s a way of sharing genuine Hawaiian hospitality and ensuring you take a piece of Hawaiʻi home with you.

The omnipresent ocean is a pivotal part of Hawaiian culture, which you can explore through kilo moana, the practice of understanding the ocean and foreshore environments, and pānānā, using nature to inform traditional navigational techniques.

Guests can reserve a spot in advance for culture classes or sign up at Kawenaokeao in the lobby.
