Let's go LEGO! Brissy to host premiere of the Wonders of the World

Get ready to tick off some of the greatest wonders of the world Brisbane-ites, as the global premiere of the 'Wonders of the World' LEGO exhibition gets set to kick off on 23 November this year.

Get ready to tick off some of the greatest wonders of the world Brisbane-ites, as the global premiere of the ‘Wonders of the World’ LEGO exhibition gets set to kick off on 23 November this year.

Calling all budding builders and those that never really grew up.

An all-LEGO ‘Wonders of the World’ exhibition is calling your name, and it’s about to rock the very foundations of your world!

The new exhibition will showcase some of the wonders of the world through the medium of LEGO, such as the Empire State Building, Arc De Triopmhe, the Great Wall of China, Big Ben, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, and even a LEGO version of Michelangelo’s Statue of David!

And the chief architect behind this ambitious project will be none other than Mr. Ryan ‘The Brickman’ Mc Naught, the only LEGO Certified Professional in the Southern Hemisphere (yep, that is actually a thing), and one of only 14 in the whole wide world.

So no, Ryan isn’t just some dude who never grew out of playing with LEGO: this is actually his chosen career! #howcoolisthat

But it won’t simply be a matter of just marvelling at the these LEGO wonders. Visitors will be taken on a historical and interactive journey through space and time, with the opportunity to help Ryan in some of his epic creations.

“The exhibition is super interactive with lots of activities for LEGO fanatics to get involved in. Brickies will have the chance to build a statue of themself next to the mighty Statue of David and they can also help me build some LEGO cars for the traffic jam around the Arc de Triomphe. There’s so many hands-on things to get involved with – hopefully all the budding builders in Brisbane are up for the challenge!”

The all-Lego exhibition will then make its way around Australia, stopping in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth. Click here to stay abreast of dates around the country.

“I am beyond excited to debut the global premiere of my brand new exhibition, Wonders of the World, in Brisbane. This exhibition is like nothing that has ever been seen before, every model is brand new and infinitely more detailed than anything I’ve ever created.”

Tickets go on sale Thursday 27 October at 10am, and can be purchased at ticketek.com.au
