Ovolo Hotels Launches 'Restaurant In Room': Date Nights Never Looked So Good

Ovolo Hotels has launched an innovative Restaurant in Room concept that offers you and a friend the chance to privately dine in social-distancing style in one of their uber-stylish rooms.

Ovolo Hotels has launched an innovative Restaurant in Room concept that offers you and a friend the chance to privately dine in social-distancing style in one of their uber-stylish rooms.

For now, a getaway is still off the cards and our favourite bars and restaurants are going to be closed for a bit longer yet.

And while cooking at home has been a timely reminder of the endless culinary possibilities (for some of us anyway), let’s face it, seven days a week of trying to make our dinners interesting is pushing the limit somewhat.

To combat this challenge and give us back some date night freedom in the process, Ovolo Hotels has come up with the genius idea of safely opening up their hotels for people to come in and enjoy a fine (and private) dining experience from the comfort of one of their gorgeous rooms.

Initially offered at Canberra’s Monster Kitchen & Bar at Ovolo Nishi from Thursday 30th April, you can now book Restaurant in Room on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights for private dining only for two, or with the addition of an overnight stay at the iconic Nishi Apartments by Ovolo.

Ovolo says they will look to launch Restaurant In Room across its other venues across Australia as the various State Governments start to relax social distancing restrictions.

These venues include Alibi Bar & Kitchen’s innovative plant-based dining in Sydney at Ovolo Woolloomooloo and ZA ZA TA at Ovolo The Valley in Brisbane, who will continue to serve inspired Middle Eastern cuisine designed to be shared and savoured with Chef Roy Nor at the helm.

“While we wait for the landscape to change and return to levels of normality, we want to keep the wheels turning for staff, friends and colleagues in the industry, it’s a time adapt and evolve,”

Ovolo Hotels Group Food & Beverage Director, Vince Lombino

“We already pivoted with our takeaway concepts ALT, CTRL, EAT by Alibi in Sydney and DELI by Monster in Canberra, so now we have rooms to fill, welcome Restaurant in Room!”

“To take this concept to the next level, we are even looking to collaborate with our Creative Culinary Partner, Ian Curley from French Saloon, at Ovolo Laneways in Melbourne and even one step further working with our fellow restauranteurs to potentially do pop-up Restaurant In Rooms,” Lombino added.

So now there’s every reason to get out, practise safe social distancing and enjoy a change of scenery out of the house with that special person.
