Arriving at Outrigger’s Waikiki Beach Resort you immediately feel incredibly welcome by the friendly staff. Checking in after a long-haul flight across time zones can be a tad confusing so when the front office guy kindly tells you where to pick up the best coffee (Honolulu Coffee) a coffee shop just around the corner, that’s when you know you are in for a good stay.
The resort offers spacious rooms with comfortable beds, balconies with tea and coffee facilities and housekeeping were incredibly helpful providing extra toothpaste during after-hours as well as international adapters.

One of the highlights at the resort is the newly renovated swimming pool, which offers an amazing view of the Diamond Head and Waikiki Beach all from the comfort of a soft sun bed. The pool staff will take your food and drink orders and if you fancy a fresh smoothie just head over to the little juice bar just around the corner from the pool area.

Duke’s Canoe Club serves up great breakfast buffets which won’t leave anyone hungry.
The Duke’s Canoe Club is great for lunch and offers great traditional Hawaiian dishes as well as more westernised food. The restaurant also offers a breakfast buffet, which won’t leave anyone hungry. Browse through a wide selection of tropical fruit, omelettes (made to order) and pancakes.
If you prefer an a la carte option make sure you head up to Hula Grill, which is situated on the 2nd floor. Try to get an outside table out on the balcony and order the local fried rice or the healthier acai berry bowl, both delicious.

This is a very spiritual experience where the couples will gather in front of the beach to say their vows in Hawaiian. The guests will receive a complementary certificate after the ceremony to keep as a memory and with two ceremonies per week it is a highly popular special event. The ceremony is available to same-sex couples as well.
