The TEQ Queensland is Calling campaign will target interstate visitors from key markets such as NSW and Victoria along with Queensland and New Zealand travellers.

It marks the first major marketing campaign for the tourism organisation in 2023 and follows the appointment of new CEO Patricia O’Callaghan in October 2022.

The messaging is targeted at couples and families in two distinct return visitor groups; those who love coming back and those who think they’ve seen it all before.

The campaign, running from January to June 2023, aims to support generating 37.8 million visitor nights and $9 billion in overnight visitor expenditure while in market.

TEQ is partnering with Virgin Australia, Air New Zealand, Webjet, MyQueensland, Luxury Escapes, Accor, Expedia/Wotif, Experience Oz and Helloworld for travel offers.

The Queensland is Calling campaign will run across TV, out-of-home (OOH) and online channels with the message: ‘Days Like This Are Calling’.
