Seamless Spain by train: Rail Europe now offers Renfe reservations for Eurail Passes

Rail Europe now allows Eurail and Interrail passholders to reserve seats on long- and medium-distance Renfe trains via its channels, increasing the convenience of rail travel across Spain and making it easier for agents to book for clients.

Rail Europe now allows Eurail and Interrail passholders to reserve seats on long- and medium-distance Renfe trains via its channels, increasing the convenience of rail travel across Spain and making it easier for agents to book for clients.

No more queuing at the station; Eurail or Interrail Global Pass holders can easily check if a seat reservation is required for their journey, view pricing and make a reservation online.

The inclusion of Renfe offers access to high-speed AVE, Alvia and Euromed services as well as Intercity trains and international connections with Spain and France.

Popular long-distance routes include Madrid – Barcelona (AVE), Barcelona – Valencia (Euromed), Madrid – San Sebastian (Alvia) and Marseille – Madrid (International AVE).

Media Distancia (medium distance) routes will soon be available, further expanding options for Spain-bound travellers.

This new feature strengthens Rail Europe’s commitment to seamless European train travel, ensuring Eurail and Interrail passholders can explore Spain’s Renfe rail network with the same convenience as other top destinations with SNCF, Lyria, Eurostar, Trenitalia and RhB.

The Eurail Global Pass is the most popular choice for international travellers with unlimited travel across 33 European destinations.

Rail Europe Chief Product & Technology Officer Jürgen Witte said the addition of Renfe passholder fares is a game-changer for travellers to explore Spain with ease.
