Everyone can take the (panoramic) window seat on a scenic route in Canada with Rocky Mountaineer. Viva Holidays’ Rocky Mountaineer specialists have crafted two epic packages with savings of up to $1,500 per couple for an unforgettable rail holiday filled with wildlife and wilderness around every corner.
Why not try something new in Canada in 2025? Viva Holidays has partnered with Rocky Mountaineer and Destination Canada to showcase the scenic and stress-free way to explore the Canadian Rockies with two curated packages on sale from 9 January – 6 February 2025.
Bringing her 14 years’ sales expertise on board these new packages, Viva Holidays Rocky Mountaineer Reservation Specialist Michelle Grogan-Reynolds loves that no two rail experiences are alike.

“With Rocky Mountaineer, two people on the same journey will have completely different experiences and memories,” she said.
“I’ve travelled on the First Passage to the West route from Vancouver to Banff and it was fabulous from start to finish. You are treated like royalty in GoldLeaf Service.”
Why the Rocky Mountaineer rocks

There’s many ways to experience Canada, but there’s only one Rocky Mountaineer. These rail journeys are iconic for a reason – think locally sourced onboard meals, snacks and drinks, including regional delicacies that will delight your tastebuds, and overnight hotel accommodation with seamless transfers.
And, of course, we can’t forget about the jaw-dropping scenery of the Canadian Rockies with expert commentary pointing out the daytime sights with added insights. You’ll see it all through supersized windows in SilverLeaf Service or via the glass dome and outdoor viewing platform on GoldLeaf Service.
“The knowledge of the staff is unbelievable, from the trees and animals to the history of where you are passing through, and makes the journey so interesting,” Grogan-Reynolds added.
When to go

Viva Holidays’ 2025 Rocky Mountaineer packages are valid for travel between 12 April – 8 October 2025 for bookings until 6 February 2025.
Grogan-Reynolds tips April as the best time to travel on Rocky Mountaineer to experience a variety of mountain weather, from sun and rain to thick snow, and to see bears come out of hibernation alongside other alpine wildlife such as elk and mountain sheep.
July and August are the warmest months, although Grogan-Reynolds notes that trains are also fitted with heated seats for the cooler temps in April, May, September and October, making any month ideal to enjoy the onboard experience.
