Silversea Cruises is celebrating its return to Australian operations this week after more than two years with the Silver Explorer® on a ten-day exploration of the Kimberley coast.

Silversea Cruises is celebrating its return to Australian operations this week after more than two years with the Silver Explorer® on a ten-day exploration of the Kimberley coast.

The Silver Explorer departed from Darwin on Saturday, June 4, embarking on the first of eight voyages in the Kimberley region for her 2022 season.

Voyages on Silver Explorer in the Kimberley region are nearly sold-out for 2022, but Silversea says there are some suites still available for 2023 on its 10 sailings, commencing in May 2023.

“We are so pleased to welcome the rest of the world back to Australian shores. The Kimberley region is amongst the most treasured in the world and we are thrilled to offer Silversea’s ultra-luxury expedition experience to our valued guests,” Silversea Managing Director for Asia-Pacific, Adam Radwanski said.

“Silversea recommenced global operations back in June 2021, and by June 9, 2022, our entire fleet of 10 ships will be operating once more. We have successfully welcomed guests around the world and we now look forward to unlocking the breathtaking natural wonders of the Kimberley region, where few people have been,” said Radwanski.

Silversea says it is committed to meeting the rising consumer demand for small-ship, ultra-luxury travel with the cruise line’s “dedication to a healthy return to service in Australian waters reflects its commitment to the region, touted as a key market for growth.”

Silver Muse will also return to Australia in early December this year, and Silver Whisper arrives in Auckland in early January 2023. In a Silversea first, Silver Shadow will depart Sydney for the 2023 World Cruise in early January.
