Hop around the globe: Australia's top 25 overseas Easter escapes in 2025

Booking.com search data shows international travel interest is up with some overseas hotspots doubling or even tripling among Aussies keen to maximise their 2025 Easter break.

Tokyo, Seminyak (Bali) and Singapore are the top destinations for outbound Australian travellers as Aussies opt to stay closer to home to maximise their time off.

Japan continues to draw Australian travellers with Tokyo and Osaka both featured in the top 25 most-searched destinations for the 2025 Easter holiday period.

With April heralding the start of the dry season, Bali locales also feature prominently in the list of popular 2025 Easter break destinations with Canggu, Ubud, Legian, Uluwatu, Nusa Dua, Kuta and Sanur also in the top 25.

Of the top destinations, only two of the top 25 are in the Northern Hemisphere – London and Paris – as Aussies get a jump on the upcoming Euro summer.

This highlights that Aussies want to make the most the extended Easter break by not wasting their precious time on long-haul flights.

KL is surging in international searches from Australia.

The top flight searches saw Kuala Lumpur, Christchurch and Ho Chi Minh City take out the highest spots.

Kuala Lumpur searches have tripled among Aussies as the Malaysian destination also offers the perfect stopover for longer flights as flight searches for the city soar over the holiday period. 

Rounding out the top 10 are Mumbai (4), Guangzhou (5), Seoul (6), Los Angeles (7), Marrakech (8), Dubai (9) and Edinburgh (10).
