With 2021 domestic departures already in high demand, APT has announced the return of long-time APT Ambassador, acclaimed chef, author and television personality Luke Nguyen as the host of an exclusive Kimberley adventure in 2021.
In recent years, Luke Nguyen’s gastronomic journeys through Vietnam, Cambodia and Myanmar have become a popular highlight of APT’s Southeast Asia tours.
In light of COVID-19 international border closures and a changing appetite for travel within Australia, Nguyen will join APT’s 14-day Kimberley Coastal Cruise & Purnululu Experience with Luke Nguyen departing 8 July 2021 which includes a nine-night cruise on a small expedition ship, the MS Caledonian Sky, two nights in Kununurra and two nights at APT’s exclusive Bungle Bungle Wilderness Lodge.
Guests will share Luke Nguyen-inspired meals with the man himself as he hosts the dining experiences – including a special three-course feast at the wilderness lodge, and savour dishes he has influenced throughout the journey. Commenting on the trip, Luke Nguyen said,

Commencing in Kununurra, the gateway to East Kimberley, meet Luke Nguyen for this incredible cruise of the Kimberley Coast. Venture out on daily Zodiac excursions to remote locations typically inaccessible to most travellers.
Highlights include reaching the 80-metre King George Falls, exploring ancient Indigenous rock art on Bigge Island and witnessing Montgomery Reef rise from the sea as the tide recedes.
But it’s hard to beat the exhilarating high-powered boat trip through the tidal phenomenon of Horizontal Falls. There’s also an optional helicopter flight over Mitchell Falls for incredible views of the landscape.
