You asked; they listened: Outback Spirit trial new tour

Some people listen to talk (you know the ones, every sentence you utter takes them back to something about them), and some listen to hear. Outback Spirit are in the latter (deluxe) camp, and they heard you loud and clear when you asked for a shorter version of their popular Arnhem Land tour. Guess what they’re trialling in 2024? (Psst, there's an agent incentive, too!)

Starting this June, the Arnhem Land and Kakadu Explorer tour departs from Darwin, touring Outback Spirit guests through these sublime Northern Territory regions.

Some of the many highlights crammed into this 8-day adventure include the Maningrida Arts and Cultural Centre and Djomi Museum, witnessing the iconic Rainbow Serpent rock art at Mount Borradaile, and a scenic flight over mesmerising Kakadu National Park.

Sounds epic, huh? Well, to ensure it’s the kind of transformative experience that turns the travel industry on its ear, Outback Spirit needs your help.

Why? Because there are only three departure dates; two in June and one in August.

For your client’s dreams of a shorter Arnhem Land adventure to become a permanent addition to Outback Spirit’s extensive lineup, travellers’ interest and feedback will be crucial.

Call the troops, work your magic, and keep your ear to the ground for clients ready to connect with everything that makes Arnhem Land so special. They’ll love touring with the people who travel the deepest through the region.

Music to your ears: itinerary highlights

While this new Arnhem Land and Kakadu Explorer is a shorter version of the original adventure, it’s not lacking any excitement. Shorter, yes. Cutting corners, no, that’s so not the Outback Spirit way; they’re a more-is-more kind of tour company.

Your clients will enjoy:

  • An exclusive touring route into the heart of the world’s oldest surviving culture
  • Opportunities to deeply connect to both traditional Aboriginal rock art at Mount Borradaile, Ubirr and Noarlangie, and contemporary creations from the region’s emerging artists
  • An exclusive barramundi fishing and wildlife cruise in Maningrida
  • A tour of Mount Borradaile’s unusual geological features
  • A Yellow Waters cruise around Kakadu’s impressive wetlands
  • An unforgettable scenic flight over the 1.8-billion-year-old escarpments, floodplains, and winding rivers of Kakadu National Park

Hear this: all-inclusive means all-inclusive

Hosting a maximum of 22 guests, here’s what’s included for your clients:

  • Two nights at the Outback Spirit-owned Barramundi Lodge with luxury safari tents overlooking the spectacular Tomkinson River floodplains
  • Two nights at Davidson’s Arnhemland Safaris, where the inviting billabongs attract local wildlife
  • Three nights of hotel accommodation
  • Every meal, plus complimentary beverages
  • Travel in a 5-star 4WD Mercedes Benz vehicle
  • All attraction fees and permits to enter Aboriginal land
  • An Outback Spirit Explorer Pack for first-time travellers

All complemented by a passionate, knowledgeable tour guide-driver who knows and loves the region and can’t wait to share it with your clients.

You spoke, they listened

The good thing about listening – truly listening – is it doesn’t take long to understand there’s no one-size-fits-all solution for us humans. Or one tour length, in this instance.

This is why the OG Arnhem Land Wilderness Adventure is still running. The new tour trial isn’t offering up an either/or of agents, but a response of ‘Why not both?’.

And, of course, there are Outback Spirit’s other touring extravaganzas for your discerning clients to consider. Like their popular Kimberley tours, remote Queensland adventures to the Cape York Peninsula, G Wagon adventures across the Canning Stock Route, and abundance-filled Eyre Peninsula and Tasmanian explorations.
