Queen Victoria Market has today announced that Melbourne’s favourite night market will return on Wednesday 9 June for a spectacular 13-week season.
Winter is coming! And so is the Winter Night Market.
After a long hibernation, Melburnians and city breakers will be able to rug up in their woollies and head to the Market to enjoy a winter playground complete with everything they’ve been craving – delicious street food, hot beverages, roaring fire pits, great shopping, live music, and roving entertainment.
Night Market-goers will be able to wander the historic open-air sheds and be enticed by the sights, tastes, smells and sounds of winter. Each week, the Winter Night Market will bring together Melbourne’s best street food traders, brewers, distillers, artisans and performers all under the famous Market sheds.

This is an evening experience not to be missed.
Visitors can expect to feast on a global street food menu – think smoky barbecue, melted cheesy pasta, dumplings, spicy curries, and decadent chocolate desserts – as well as craft beers, cocktails, and mulled wine. The full list of this season’s food and beverage traders will be announced in the coming weeks.
Beyond the food and drink, visitors will be able to relax and warm up by fire pits and enjoy live music and roving entertainers or browse the stalls and local artisans for hand-made jewellery, clothing, art, books, skincare, homewares and much more.
Come mid-season and get festive with the Winter Night Market Christmas in July celebrations. Throughout July, visitors will be transported to a winter wonderland complete with illuminated Christmas trees, snow, Santa Claus, eggnog and carollers.
With free entry to the market, the only prerequisites are to come hungry and ready for a good time!
