Tourism Tasmania is gearing up for a double debut this autumn, kicking off its Off Season campaign and launching the brand-new Discover Tasmania app into the market.

Tourism Tasmania is gearing up for a double debut this autumn, kicking off its Off Season campaign and launching the brand-new Discover Tasmania app into the market.

Tourism Tasmania developed the Discover Tasmania app to help visitors and locals explore, plan and enjoy their Tassie adventures amid record visitor spend in the Apple Isle.

It enables users to build an itinerary filled with events, activities, accommodation, places to see and things to eat and drink.

The app also provides real-time updates, informing visitors of available experiences and tips relevant to their location. 

Off Season campaign

The Discover Tasmania app launched with the Off Season campaign, which builds on the success of previous campaigns with visually striking black-and-white photography.

To be rolled out in metropolitan NSW, Queensland, SA, WA and ACT from May–July 2023, the omnichannel campaign will include out-of-home (OOH) high-impact locations at Martin Place Station and tram wraps in Sydney’s CBD.

Adding to the depth of storytelling, content partnerships with Qantas, Rolling Stone and Broadsheet publications plus a mini-podcast series will highlight Tasmania’s winter tourism offerings.
