Chengdu Panda Base had just six pandas when they launched in 1987. Today it is home to around 120 of the beloved animals.
As part of their China experience with a Local Specialist, Trafalgar escapees will visit ‘Panda Base’ to learn about the non-profit research and breeding efforts; their mission to protect the endangered species; and their partnerships with zoos around the world.
