Rocky Mountaineer is chugging its way into an exciting 2018 with the announcement of new packages, a new brochure and an incredible pre/post option of staying at the exclusive five-star Sonora Resort.

Since 1990, Rocky Mountaineer, the world’s largest privately owned luxury tourist train, has introduced nearly two million people into the untouched beauty of the Pacific Northwest and Western Canada. This is a part of the world where fresh air and untamed wildlife complement dreamy vistas of snow-capped mountains, turquoise lakes and forests of Paper Birch, Lodgepole Pine and Western Red Cedar.

And then don’t get us started on the onboard experience itself, where world-class cuisine, excellent wine options and historic storytelling are dished out to guests travelling in an all dome fleet with comfy seats and onboard Hosts at their beck and call. Yep, Rocky Mountaineer is luxury on rails! Add to that four routes and unforgettable all-daylight adventures off the train, and you can understand why literally millions flock here for a slice of Canada’s best.

But just like any travel product, Rocky Mountaineer has been working hard to make one of the world’s greatest train journeys even better, and so if you have clients wanting to finally tick off this epic must-do item, here’s what’s in store for them onboard Rocky Mountaineer in 2018.

Two exciting new packages

New for 2018, Rocky Mountaineer has unveiled two new packages that combine its best-selling Rocky Mountaineer holidays with culinary and adventure themes. First Passage to The West Culinary Exploration (10 days in total, with two days spent on the train) includes additional top-rated dining experiences and tours, on top of the five-star dining onboard the train. This is THE itinerary for the travelling foodie: just imagine travelling through Rocky Mountain peaks in the morning and then tucking into gourmet meals once the sun sets?

With an increased desire for adventurous activities in Vancouver and the Rockies, Rocky Mountaineer has also introduced Journey Through The Clouds Outdoor Adventures (11 days in total, two days on the train), which allows guests to explore the destinations visited in new ways through a range of outdoor activities that take place at sea, in the mountains or in destination. Some of the activities include canoeing across Lake Louise, rafting on the Bow River or taking a guided hiking tour through Jasper National Park.

A beautiful new brochure

Rocky Mountaineer has also unveiled a new 2018 brochure, which is an excellent resource for agents wanting to know about all things Rocky Mountaineer. As well as containing all the answers to your clients’ questions – such as the difference between GoldLeaf Service and SilverLeaf Service, departure dates, inclusions, etc. – the brochure’s glossy pages can also help you bag the sale. You’d be wise to keep it at your desk and use it in your consultations to plan the perfect Rocky Mountaineer experience for your clients.

Speaking of consultations, now is the perfect time to tell your clients about Rocky Mountaineer’s Early Booking Bonus. This is Rocky Mountaineer’s most attractive promotion for 2018, and with it, clients will receive $1,000 AUD per couple in added value when they book a qualifying 2018 package of 8 days or more by August 25th, 2017. This credit can be used for extra hotel nights, dining, cruising, transfers and excursions.
