Family bookings to South Korea jump 33% as InsideAsia adds new trips

InsideAsia has launched two tailor-made South Korea family itineraries and new 2027 small-group dates after a 33 per cent rise in ANZ family bookings.

InsideAsia has launched two tailor-made South Korea family trips, alongside new 2027 small-group departures, after a 33 per cent year-on-year rise in bookings for the destination in Q1 2026.

InsideAsia has rolled out new 12-day South Korea Family Adventure and nine-day Family Fun in Korea trips, both built to balance structured experiences with flexibility for different ages and group sizes.

The launch of South Korea family trips follows a sharp lift in demand in the ANZ market with a 33 per cent year-on-year increase in families travelling to South Korea, which the Inside Travel Group specialist brand attributes to the popularity of the Netflix movie and TV series, KPop Demon Hunters.

South Korea Family Adventure is aimed at families with teens and older children, combining active, immersive experiences with cultural highlights, while Family Fun in Korea is designed to be fully scalable, catering to younger children, multi-generational groups or a mix of ages.

InsideAsia’s South Korea Product Manager Becky Barry said the destination is resonating with families looking for variety.

“We’re seeing more families choose South Korea for its energy, variety, accessibility and unique cultural experiences. It’s a destination where you can move seamlessly from high-energy city experiences to nature, culture and hands-on activities for all ages,” she said.

On the Family Adventure trip, Barry said: “One day you’re weaving through the city on an e-bike, the next you’re learning a K-pop dance routine, hiking to a volcanic viewpoint or sampling your way through Seoul’s street food scene.”

Of the more flexible South Korea family trips option, she added: “This itinerary is all about making South Korea easy, engaging and memorable for the whole family.”

“We know South Korea can still feel unfamiliar for some clients, so we’re equipping agents with the tools and insights to confidently sell these experiences,” Voss said.

“The added benefit is that our ‘Not Another Boring Prize’ incentive is still running, giving agents the chance to win a $40,000 trip simply by engaging with training and making a booking.”
