As one of the most desirable destinations in Greece, Corfu offers visitors a unique blend of ancient ruins, breathtaking beaches, and charming villages to explore. Whether you’re seeking relaxation on the beach or adventure in the mountains, Corfu has something for everyone.
And with NCL providing you with savings of up to AUD$2,500 per booking*, it’s certainly possible! What’s more, this new special offer is combinable with NCL’s popular ‘Free at Sea’ and is available for bookings until 01 August.
PORT PICK: CORFU GREECE
One of the lushest of the Greek Isles, Corfu is rimmed with dramatic blue waters and topped with tranquil hillside villages. A collection of quaint cafes in the town of Corfu feels very continental, but the island’s secluded coves and sandy beaches can only be found in the Greek Isles.
This Ioanian island is also a foodie paradise with its rich heritage combining the perfect blend of classic Greek flavours with exotic ingredients brought in by the Venetians and incorporating local ingredients such as fresh fish and exotic spices.
How and when can I visit?
There is never a bad time to visit Corfu but April to May and September to November mean less crowds, although the water temperatures might be a bit cooler for swimming!
NCL visits Corfu between April and November, and guests can choose from more than 50 sailings ranging from nine to 14 days. NCL currently has six ships that call into Corfu and a choice of five departure ports – Athens, Barcelona, Istanbul, Rome or Venice (Ravenna or Trieste).

- GO LOCAL: A Day in the Country Life of a Corfiot Family – Gain a greater understanding of authentic Greek rural life, by visiting the traditional village of Agios Matheos and spending the day on a farm in Alevropari. Help feed the animals, pick ripe tomatoes and cucumbers, sample fresh herbs from the garden and see the farm’s beehives before a cooking demonstration hosted by the family of the farm.
- GO GOURMET: Corfu’s Enchanting Views & Local Cuisine – Enjoy a panoramic drive to the beach-blessed village of Paleokastritsa and dine on classic Greek dishes while admiring the views of the shimmering sea from the verandah of the family-owned restaurant. The menu features homemade dishes prepared from recipes that take full advantage of the local ingredients such as pastitsada, a slow-cooked beef stew that is served over pasta.
Top Tip from Camilla Inwood, Director, Guest Services APAC
“Corfu is one of the Mediterranean’s truly underrated gems – I have been there twice and would happily go back again! I have three tips:
1 – Explore the Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its Venetian architecture, narrow cobblestone streets, and historic landmarks.
2 – Visit Palaiokastritsa – the village is charming and the beach stunning!
3 – Jump on a small boat to explore caves and hidden coves and don’t miss a swim in the Ionian Sea – truly enchanting.”
Corfu is just one of the many ports available on NCL’s Europe sailings – with a choice of over 150+ itineraries across 10 ships and 13 departure ports it’s no wonder NCL has been recognised as “Europe’s Leading Cruise Line” 17 years in a row by the World Travel Awards.
