Calling all ski fanatics and snow bunnies! An epic ski holiday awaits you at SilverStar Mountain Resort in British Columbia, Canada, and it promises to be your best yet!

Blessed with some of the most reliable snowfall in the world, the mountain slopes of SilverStar are legendary.

Voted as the Best Ski Resort in the Okanagan for the fourth consecutive year, those Canucks up in Vernon, British Columbia, are definitely doing something right, and it’s probably about time you see what all the fuss is about.

And now is definitely the time to book a ski holiday for February and March, with an insanely cool Skimax SilverStar ‘Earlybird’ package starting at $1,119* pp currently on offer, which includes seven nights twin share in a Studio Room at Silver Creek Hotel, and a six-day Silver Star Ski Pass. *Conditions apply.

Pretty epic, huh?

Here are another five reasons why you should tear up the slopes with SilverStar this winter.

1. Amazing snow and conditions, and no queues!

SilverStar Mountain has that enviable reputation of consistently producing the goods, with abundant snowfall pretty much a given – especially in February and March. We’re talking an average seasonal natural snowfall of 700 cm people! So no, no snow making at SilverStar…

Speaking of the mountain, SilverStar is the third largest ski area in BC, with four mountain faces spanning some 3,282 acres of skiable terrain, meaning there are hardly ever any queues!

And then there are the impeccably groomed runs – 131 of them – that are also a staple of the SilverStar experience, ensuring that skiers and boarders always have full access to the mountain.

2. There’s something for everyone

SilverStar is suitable for all types of skiers and boarders – from beginners and intermediates, to advanced and experts.

There are long runs perfect for a cruise down the mountain, black diamond runs, steep powder filled chutes, lots of fun gladed areas, a Terrain Park to keep the more extreme skiers and boarders well happy, and 4 km of lit trails for night-time skiing action.

Then there are the fun-filled activities, such as snowshoe trails, a fun Tube Town Adventure Park, indoor rock-climbing and bowling, arts and crafts, story time by the bon fire, and – last but not least – the all-new Fat Bike, one of the newest snow sports where riders roll along 15 km of snow trails on a special bike!

Yep, there’s a reason why SilverStar Mountain Resort has been crowned the Okanagan region’s “Best Ski Resort” for four years in a row…

3. SilverStar is fantastic value for visitors of all ages

SilverStar is great for the Empty Nesters, families looking to have a holiday outside of January School holidays, couples and groups of friends. And the resort’s ‘My1Pass’ – Canada’s first all-inclusive lift ticket and season pass – gives everyone access to seven extra activities in addition to their day lift ticket.

Included in the My1Pass are the Fat Bike and Tube Town Adventure Park (see above), access to 55 km of groomed, world-class Nordic trails, 16 km of dedicated snowshoe trails through forests of giant Christmas trees (plus a Winter Wonderland Village experience all year long; see below), ice-skating, and more!

4. SilverStar is a Winter Wonderland all season long

Every day and night is like Christmas at SilverStar throughout the whole of the winter season.

Each year in December, SilverStar village is decorated with thousands of sparkling lights and transformed into a Winter Wonderland. The lights last all season long until April, which is a hit with both locals and visitors.

In addition to the dazzling lights there are tons of activities for the everyone to enjoy at night time, including horse drawn dinner sleigh ride tours, tubing, skating and hockey on the frozen outdoor pond, and night skiing and boarding.

Did someone say ho ho ho?!

5. You can ski-in and out of your accommodation

Last but definitely not least, SilverStar Mountain Resort features charming ski-in and ski-out accommodation in its mid-mountain village.

This means that there’s no commute involved in getting to the slopes or back to your warm room for a little rest in between runs, or before grabbing a bite to eat at one of the 18 Food & Beverage Outlets, including a fully renovated restaurant and a recently refurbished pub.

How awesome is that?!
