The truth about taking a holiday and staying at a hotel is that sometimes (more often than not) we come across certain behaviours and habits we just can’t stand.
And while we only have to tolerate it for a short period of time, we just can’t seem to get passed how annoying some people can be.
Expedia went out and surveyed a number of its website visitors, asking them to rank the most frustrating behaviours of fellow hotel guests.
Vice President, John Morrey, said while etiquette changes, most hotel guests tend to be annoying by the same behaviour – disrespect of others.
“A modicum of consideration for your fellow travellers can go a very long way and may ultimately enhance your overall travel experience.”
John Morrey, Expedia Vice President
“While etiquette violations differ, they tend to come down to the same behaviour: whether or not guests respect the strangers in proximity to them,” Expedia’s Vice President John Morrey said.
Check out the full list of annoying hotel behaviours below and and let’s be honest, we’re all a little guilty of these:
10. The one that won’t stop talking in the elevator
9. The drunk business traveller
8. The couple that feels the need to express their love in the hot tub
7. Or how about those that clearly want the whole floor to know they’re ‘getting some’
6. Nothing goes past the poolside lovers (*roll eyes*)
5. Or the couple that continuously argues
4. Speaking of loud voices, the in-room revellers really know how to raise the blood pressure
3. As do the complainers that insist on berating hotel staff
2. The loudies in the hallway need a slap in the face
